Boost Your Morning with Acai

We’ve all heard that breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day, and for good reason. From a quick, nutritious smoothie, to a delicious Sunday brunch, there is no denying that eating breakfast has tons of benefits. It jump-starts your metabolism, fuels your body and puts you in a good mood for the rest of the day.

Now we all know how easy it is to hit the snooze button and skip breakfast, so the important thing is to find something that works for you and your morning routine. Below is a quick and simple recipe of one of my favourite morning smoothies. It’s perfect if you’re short of time and struggle to eat something that will sustain you until lunch. Give it a go a kick start your day with this amazing antioxidant boost.

Antioxidant Acai Boost

Now this is a winner! Made with True Organic Acai Berry, this smoothie is packed full of healthy minerals, fats and vitamins, while being quick to prepare and absolutely delicious! You can use any combinations of berries you like, and try using coconut water or other nut milks of your choice.

Ingredients

1 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen berries
2 tbsp oats
2 tbsp True Organic Acai Berry
1 tbsp True Organic Chia Seeds
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup almond milk (or substitute 1 scoop True Organic Coconut Water Powder and 1 cup of water)

Method

1.    Blend all ingredients until really smooth and creamy.
2.    Sip and enjoy!   

Note

Chia seeds add thickness to your smoothie. They’re also jam-packed with goodies, including omega-3, calcium, vitamin C, potassium, fibre, and antioxidants.
